The Cotswolds, in South-Central England, is a stunning landscape covering parts of five different counties, the most prominent being Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire; and it is one of the most picturesque parts of Great Britain.

“Wolds” is an old English word to describe the beautiful grassy rolling hills that lie between villages, built out of honey-coloured limestone, that cluster around the church spires and market squares to create a quintessentially English picture.

In an environment as calm and peaceful as this, one may not suspect that there is such diversity of attractions and activities in this region; and not just for the historian. Music and art festivals, sporting events from horse racing and Polo to the annual 'Whacky Races' held in the Prince Charles’s local market town, there is always something going on in the Cotswolds.

There are numerous historic locations to visit, many of which have become film stars, like the majestic Blenheim Palace; and the elegant spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath where you will find retail therapy and great antiquing. The lake-lands of the Cotswold Waterpark offer a wide range of outdoor activities birdwatching to sailing, kayaking, water skiing and swimming and make great family day out. Running through the heart of the Cotswolds, the scenic 103 mile long Cotswold Way hiking trail leads from Chipping Campden in the north to the ancient roman town of Bath in the south; and has many watering holes along the way.

The Cotswolds offers not just fine traditional English dishes in its many award winning pubs, historic inns and cozy cafés but there is fine dining on offer to cater to every taste. But local specialities you should not miss are the creamy Winston’s Ice Cream and the aromatic goats’ cheeses from the Windrush Valley dairy.

Our Cotswold properties range from the petite to magnificent - and everything in-between - ensuring you will have a authentic stay in one of the world’s great landscapes. The properties here are a sample but to see all 26 please visit
